This anime only premiered last year, but it has a good number of followers already. The last episode of the debut season was aired in December 2019, so fans are already looking forward to “Dr. Stone” season 2.
It was also thought that the anime will not get a renewal, but the good news was announced not long after the conclusion of the first installment. Fans were informed of the renewal through the release of a trailer.
What to expect in season 2
Aside from the fact that the clip confirmed the second installment, it also revealed that it will mark the start of a new arc called “Stone Wars.” Apparently, this suggests that Senku and his friends would face a new battle.
Their opponent is still unknown, but it seems that they will be facing people that are not knowledgeable in technology. Perhaps, primitive men that have not been shown yet in the first season?
There is a possibility that his opponent is still Shishio Tsukasa since he has been his enemy throughout season 1. Whoever Senku will face, he will be supported by his friends and the villagers led by Chrome and Gen.
Senku and friends’ new look - Leaked details
The second season of “Dr. Stone” is returning with not just a new arc but new looks as well. This detail was surfaced after DBSHypeX tweeted pictures of the characters’ new outfits and gears. These are said to be leaked details of new character designs that will be used in the new installment.
Plot predictions
In any case, it was predicted that the upcoming episodes will finally give answers to the mystery of petrification. This is to say that Senku will finally solve the mystery that was not solved by his father, Byakuya Ishigami.
There is a theory that the petrification only happened by accident, so Senku will probably find out in “Dr. Stone” season 2, who used a gadget that froze up everything on earth. Of course, the villagers and his friends will surely be part of this breakthrough.
Meanwhile, season 2 of “Dr. Stone” doesn’t have a premiere date yet, and TMS Entertainment has not released any update as well. But then again, avid followers of this anime are predicting a July premiere.
