“Dr. Stone” chapter 128 is titled “Science Wars,” and it will pick up from the chapter where Mozu and Kirisame were petrified during a fight on the island. This was an unexpected turn of events because Mozu is powerful.
Recap
Before the events in “Dr. Stone,” chapter 128 takes place, it can be recalled that five years ago, Amaryllis and the villagers were attempting to escape the island but Mozu and Kirisame stopped them. The two are warriors who were turned into stones using a weapon, while Amaryllis narrowly escaped being hit and turning into stone as well. Amaryllis wants to steal the petrification weapon, and Kohaku decided to extend his help so the former can infiltrate the rivals hideout and get what they want.
What will happen in the next chapter and plot predictions
Based on the summary for “Dr. Stone” chapter 128, although Senku and the recon team have doubts if she can succeed, they also helped Amaryllis by sending her some materials she may need for the operation.
“Needing Kohaku to infiltrate the harem selection, Senku and the recon team express doubt that she can successfully adapt to the role of a maiden,” the story summary reads. “To help her, Senku needs the materials still aboard the Perseus.”
Moreover, the Petrification Kingdom that is led by Minister Ibarra has captured the ship already because the minister learned about Amaryllis plans ahead of time. Kohaku was outraged as Ibarra also started to destroy the petrified status of her friends.
In an attempt to get help from the rest of the crew, she yelled out the word "lab," which the natives don’t understand, but only Senku and Gen showed up. Ginro, who is apparently very afraid, did not respond to Kohaku’s call and remained in his hiding place in the ship.
Finally, the weapons that the lab team developed have been exposed, so there is a higher risk of being ambushed by the enemies. As posted on My Anime List forum, Ibarra captured the ship so they can get a hold of the powerful petrification weapon. Meanwhile, “Dr. Stone” chapter 128 will be released on Nov. 1.
