Donald Trump just made the word pandemic trending on Twitter after he refused to update Americans on the real dangers of the deadly Coronavirus.
Earlier this week, the POTUS seemingly downplayed the seriousness of the virus when he accused some networks of hyping the issue up. However, since netizens are able to read updates regarding the virus from reputable sources, they know for a fact that Americans are also at risk at the moment.
According to Political Flare journalist Jason Miciak, Coronavirus has become worrying especially after one case of Coronavirus that’s unrelated for travel was recorded in the United States.
The patient, whose name is not being disclosed, went to the hospital on Feb. 19 and was sent home. This means that the patient became in contact with some people and may have also spread the virus to his or her community.
But even if this was the case, the POTUS has stayed mum on the issue. In fact, he previously said that Coronavirus could be eradicated once the weather becomes warmer. According to experts, there is no connection between the weather and the virus.
“It is exceedingly difficult to panic the people of the United States. We are relatively sophisticated, well-educated, and wealthy. We are used to having a government that is one of the world’s elite in anything it does with seriousness. And, for better or worse, most Americans aren’t that attentive to the news. They are busy with busy lives,” Miciak wrote.
The journalist said that it’s quite hard to spread panic in the country. But Trump is one of the few people who could do it.
“They say that a rogue wave is one where three or more crests meet by chance at any given point. Trump is a rogue wave, bringing a unique capacity to lie such that people fear that the truth is far worse than what he’s said. He is one that will always himself first, last and always. We have seen the utter incompetent when faced with something he can’t lie has ass out of. Three crests there, and everyone knows there are more,” he said.
