Dairy Queen has entered the NFT market and opened a pop-up store for digital tokens in China. The restaurant teamed up with Weirdo Ghost Gang for its first non-fungible token project and launch of the store in Chengdu.
As per CoinTelegraph, Dairy Queen’s NFT pop-up store featured the “Ice and Snow Season” theme and fans may visit it from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31 only. Visitors can expect an array of DQ and WGG co-branded items in the shop.
Exclusive Perks for WGG NFT Holders
As part of the joint venture deal, in addition to merchandise like the Dairy Queen and WGG-themed ice cream, holders of WGG NFTs will enjoy other exclusive benefits throughout the pop-up event. Then again, the companies did not reveal what these perks are.
“Beyond merely showcasing Dairy Queen’s ongoing efforts in new media digital marketing, this collaboration also serves to offer consumers a more nuanced understanding of the NFT art IP, WGG, resulting in enhanced experiences and connections,” DQ said in a statement.
Ice and Snow Season NFT Pop-Up Store
The new themed NFT store has been described as a unique fusion of digital art and flavorsome treats. The shop promises to offer an immersive experience for all visitors. BSC News reported that among all the attractions including a range of co-branded products, the highlight is the Dairy Queen-WGG-themed frozen treat.
Meanwhile, the latest cooperation of Dairy Queen and WGG goes beyond simple marketing efforts that aim to give consumers a more in-depth understanding of NFT art intellectual property (IP). The announcement of the joint venture comes as the non-fungible market is slowly recovering after a decline in recent months. Finally, this JV is looking to fuse the virtual and physical worlds by offering new and delightful experiences for NFT fans.
