Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC is embarking on a significant expansion project at its Fort Worth plant located at 3400 Fossil Creek Blvd. The expansion initiative aims to enhance production capabilities and storage capacity to meet the escalating demands in the Dallas-Fort Worth region and beyond.
Doubling Warehouse Space and Adding Production Lines
The expansion project, according to the Dallas Business Journal, will see the Fort Worth plant's warehouse space increase to an impressive 400,000 square feet. This expansion, estimated to cost around $168 million, underscores Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages' commitment to accommodating the growing needs of its customers and the thriving market in North Texas.
Supporting Growth and Enhancing Service
President of CCSWB, Jean Claude Tissot, expressed the necessity of this expansion to align with the rapid growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Acknowledging the surge in population influx, Tissot emphasized the company's dedication to delivering top-notch service and ensuring the availability of Coca-Cola products to their valued customers.
WFAA reported that amidst this expansion in Fort Worth, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages had previously invested in a new $250 million plant in north Houston, which commenced operations in 2020. With nearly 900 employees in the Fort Worth facility and a total of 1,800 employees across North Texas, the expansion does not entail additional hiring plans.
As one of the prominent Coca-Cola product bottlers in the U.S., Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages caters to Texas, Oklahoma, and segments of New Mexico and Arkansas. The company's economic impact study in 2022 revealed a contribution of over $6 billion to the regions it serves, reflecting its substantial presence and economic significance.
In a strategic move to elevate its visibility in North Texas, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has executed various initiatives, including Super Bowl advertisements, highlighting its pivotal role as a significant employer and supporter of community welfare programs, recycling endeavors, and sustainability initiatives.
