‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 15, titled “Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill-Will," will feature Olinksy as he goes undercover as a hitman for hire. Meanwhile, Ruzek officially returns from his undercover assignment only to discover that he has been diminished to patrol duty.
The synopsis for “Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill-Will” posted on TV Guide reads, “When Lindsay (Sophia Bush) is tipped off about a father looking to avenge his daughter's death, Olinsky (Elias Koteas) goes undercover as a hitman for hire; and Gang Intelligence reinvestigates the original case. Meanwhile, Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) is placed on patrol duty after returning from his undercover assignment.”
It seems that the team will be forced to reopen an old murder case after it was discovered that someone tried to hire a hitman to kill off the suspect. Olinsky will be the latest task force member to go undercover after Lindsay is tipped off about a potentially dangerous and vengeful father left in grief after his daughter’s death. Olinsky will have to assume the identity of a hitman for hire to help in the investigation.
The promo for episode 15 opens to Voight (Jason Beghe) briefing the team about the victim’s background saying that the woman had only been in Chicago for six months before she was killed in cold blood. In the next scene, the team discovers a case full of dangerous weapons.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will follow Ruzek as he returns from his undercover assignment. According to One Chicago Center, he will then find out that Voight has relegated him to patrol duty and returning to his old job at the Intelligence Unit will not be as easy as planned.
‘Chicago PD’ season 4’s episode 15, titled “Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill-Will," is scheduled to air on NBC on February 22, 2017. It will be followed by episode 16, titled "Emotional Proximity," slated to be released on March 1.
