Fast-Food Chains Embrace Halloween Spirit with Limited-Edition Treats and Spooky Experiences
As Halloween approaches, fast-food chains introduce themed menu items to celebrate the spooky season. Many are pondering their plans with Halloween only a day away— perhaps a cozy movie night with classic horror films and some favorite midnight snacks. According to Fast Food Club, for those looking to amplify the thrill, several locations host drive-in experiences tailored to heighten the Halloween atmosphere, complete with themed treats perfect for the season.
Pizza Hut
In anticipation of Halloween, Pizza Hut has launched the "My Haunt Box," a new twist on its famous My Hut Box. This spooky edition includes the exclusive Personal Fang Pizza, a mini pizza topped with garlic and parmesan to ward off Halloween vampires. The box, available at a suggested price of $6.99, includes a choice of sides like French fries or boneless wings, making it ideal for an individual horror movie night.
For gatherings, Pizza Hut offers the Big Dinner Box, a more prominent option featuring favorite menu items in three different configurations:
- Big Dinner Box with Three Pizzas
- Big Dinner Box with Breaded Boneless Wings and two pizzas
- Big Dinner Box with Pasta and two pizzas
For smaller parties, the My Hut Box offers variations such as the "Personal Pan Power," which includes a Personal Pan Pizza with two toppings, and "Melt Your Hunger Away," which replaces the pizza with a Pizza Hut Melt.
Potbelly
Potbelly is adding a seasonal treat for pumpkin spice enthusiasts with the release of the Pumpkin Pie Cookie, available starting November 4. Blending warm autumnal spices with the richness of pumpkin, this limited-time cookie pairs well with Potbelly’s sandwich offerings. Eric Chenel, Director of Consumer Insights and Innovation at Potbelly, highlighted the cookie's nostalgic and comforting flavors, aiming to capture the essence of fall.
Baked fresh daily, the Pumpkin Pie Cookie joins Potbelly’s sweet treats, including Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Brownie cookies. Customers can order the Pumpkin Pie Cookie in-store or through the Potbelly app or website, with exclusive offers available to Potbelly Perks members.
Bojangles
Transforming into “Boojangles” for Halloween, Bojangles has given its Charlotte flagship restaurant a haunted makeover with a drive-thru experience complete with a “Nugget Graveyard” and costumed Halloween-themed characters. Fans who visit will be among the first to try Bojangles’ new Bo Bites—bite-sized, hand-breaded chicken tenders designed for easy snacking during a horror movie marathon.
Customers who download the Bojangles app can enjoy 20% off Bo Bites combos through November 3 using the promo code “RIPNuggets.” Available in solo, sharing, or party-sized packs of up to 100 pieces, Bo Bites are best enjoyed with Bojangles’ Peach Honey Pepper sauce or house-made ranch, available until December 29 at participating locations.
