McDonald’s Big Arch Burger, a popular, hearty addition to international menus, may soon be available stateside. The 1,030-calorie sandwich features two quarter-pound patties, crispy onions, three slices of cheese, pickles, and the exclusive Big Arch sauce, offering U.S. fans a new indulgent option by 2025.
McDonald's Expands Big Arch Burger Globally After Positive Feedback on Size and Flavor
Nearly a year after McDonald's announced plans to release a more enormous, more filling burger, American customers may soon get to try it. Expected to launch in the U.S. in 2025, the new 1,030-calorie "Big Arch" burger responds to growing demand for a heartier option.
The Big Arch features two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of cheese, crispy onions, pickles, lettuce, and a specially developed Big Arch sauce. Initially introduced in December 2023, McDonald's described the burger as a value-driven option that provides both size and flavor without a premium price.
Following its rollout in Canada, Portugal, and Germany this summer, the Big Arch has received positive feedback, prompting McDonald's to accelerate its global expansion plans. “We’re encouraged by the results showing the Big Arch has universal appeal with sizable opportunity across markets,” McDonald's CFO Ian Borden said during an October 29 earnings call. With this success, McDonald's is working with franchisees and partners to bring the Big Arch to even more locations worldwide in 2025.
U.S. Fans Anticipate Big Arch Burger as McDonald’s Tests New Limited-Time Menu Additions
While McDonald's has not specified which global markets will receive the Big Arch next, CEO Chris Kempczinski has previously noted the potential for an enormous burger in the United States. Though McDonald's has yet to confirm if the Big Arch will reach American menus, U.S. fans may have reason to anticipate its arrival, per Eat This, Not That!
In the meantime, McDonald's has already treated American customers to another sought-after item. On October 10, the limited-time Chicken Big Mac, featuring tempura-battered chicken patties instead of the classic beef, joined U.S. menus. With 700 calories, the Chicken Big Mac includes the same ingredients as the traditional Big Mac—special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions—offering a fresh twist on the iconic sandwich.
