Having a baby was not easy for Carrie Underwood, in fact, she had three miscarriages before successfully getting pregnant again with her hockey player husband. In her previous interview with CBS, the star tearfully recounted her heartbreaking experiences in the last two years. Carrie Underwood opened up and said that the year 2017 was not anything that she imagined. She wanted it to be a good year, but it did not go the way she wants it to.

"I'd kind of planned that 2017 was going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby,” she said. “We got pregnant in early 2017, and [it] didn't work out."

She went on to say, "In the beginning, it was like, 'OK, God, we know this is, just wasn't our timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.”

Carrie Underwood said, after that, she got pregnant again, but they lost the baby. Finally, in early 2018, a new baby was conceived but, once again, it did not work out for her. The singer said that, at that point, she was questioning what was happening to her and it was a very hard time.

But then, Carrie Underwood that she was afraid to get angry because her family is so blessed, so she focused on her son Isaiah and her music. She said that doing music was therapeutic since it was a way to let out her sufferings and frustrations, and this was how her “Cry Pretty” album was created.

Carrie Underwood said she believed that she would not have another child but her fifth baby came and she is so thankful that he is growing healthily. As for her injury, the songstress admitted that she became depressed at some point because of it.
