Burger King announced on Monday, April 25, that it will be giving away free french fries to customers for the whole year. It was explained that the offer is part of perks and exclusive for people who sign up for its Royal Perks loyalty program.
Members of Burger King's Royal Perks program can enjoy the freebie starting this week. They can include any size of french fries in their orders, and it will be given for free. However, members can only avail the free potato side once a week.
The good news is that this offer is available for the rest of the year, so getting free fries once a week is not bad. As per CNN Business, Burger King’s goal for this new promo is to further expand its seven-month-old loyalty program.
Restaurant Brands International, the fast-food chain's parent company, previously revealed that the brand’s Royal Perks loyalty program was a good move, and they are pleased with the outcome of the sign-ups. This means the scheme is successful, and Burger King wants to gain more members.
Like the other fast-food brands, the burger joint’s ultimate goal for setting up its loyalty program is to boost sales and drive in more customers who will visit the stores very often. The company thinks that the free fries giveaway for Royal Perks members will make people choose BK over the other rivals.
“Since announcing the rollout of our loyalty program last September, Royal Perks is now available in nearly every Burger King restaurant nationwide,” Burger King North America’s president, Tom Curtis, said in a press release. “Enhancing the digital Guest experience continues to be a major focus for our brand, and we are confident this latest offer will attract even more loyal fans while rewarding our existing members.”
Meanwhile, aside from the free french fries, Burger King is also offering the following perks all year: customers can get 10 crowns for every $1 spent on orders, with an order of BK food, members can opt to have their drinks and fries upsized or free hash browns per order per day.
The crowns collected by Royal Perks members can be exchanged for a variety of free food items at the Burger King stores. Customers who will order via the BK app or the brand’s website will also earn Crowns for their delivery orders.
