‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 13, titled “The Audit,” will feature the squad as they race to save their precinct from being shut down permanently. Amy’s ex-boyfriend, Teddy, is set to make his return on the series.
The synopsis for “The Audit” posted on TV Guide reads, “With the crime rate lowered, Brooklyn is permanently shutting down one of its precincts. The team is confident they'll be evaluated fairly until the auditor turns out to be Amy's (Melissa Fumero) ex, leading the whole squad to band together to try to save the precinct.”
The upcoming episode will feature the return of Amy’s ex-boyfriend, Teddy (guest star Kyle Bornheimer). His return will also bring in some trouble for the squad since he will be auditing their precinct in an imminent permanent shut-down. They will have to do everything in their power to try and save the precinct.
The hilarious new promo for “The Audit” opens to Jake (Andy Samberg) and Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) prepping a large arsenal of high-grade weapons. As they walk down the hallway clad lugging every weapon imaginable, Charles comments, “This is way too much stuff.” Andy replies, “It is too heavy to carrying on my back.”
In another scene, Amy and Jake get into a discussion on what looks like a rooftop. Jake then prepares to rappel down the building with a firehouse tied around this waist to which Amy warns, “You are not ‘Die-Harding’ off this roof.” Jake proceeds to do so anyway and awkwardly slams into a window covered by grills on his attempt.
Although Fox is set to air its season 4 finale next month, the network has yet to announce a follow-up season. However, co-creator Dan Goor remained optimistic of a series renewal during an interview with TVLine. He said, “If you’re asking if we wrote a potential series finale, we did not. We do not want this to be the series finale.”
Goor added, “We’ve received a tremendous amount of support from the network, and I’m sure our pickup will be coming at any point.”
‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 13, titled “The Audit,” is scheduled to air on Fox on April 11, 2017. It will be followed by episode 14, titled "Serve & Protect," scheduled to be released on April 18.
