Christmas of 2018 was the first holiday for the Jolie-Pitt family to execute the custody arrangement Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt agreed on after more than two years since the actress filed for divorce. Unfortunately for the actor, two of their sons reportedly declined to be with him on the special occasion.

It can be recalled that Pitt and Jolie avoided having to go to a court trial, supposedly in early December 2018, to address custody arrangements. Together, the estranged couple has six children namely Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and the twins Vivienne and Knox, 10.

Now that the agreement is in place, the actor seems to be getting more time with the kids. Unfortunately, however, not all six of them were on board with the visit to Pitt’s place for Christmas. Us Weekly reported that Maddox and Pax decided not to go and likely stayed home with Jolie. “Maddox refused to go, and Pax didn’t go either,” an insider revealed.

Brad Pitt has reportedly been granted to get shared custody and have supervised visits for the meantime. While Angelina Jolie was photographed with some of their children on Christmas Eve, reports claimed the Jolie-Pitt kids were with the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actor on Christmas day.

A source also told Us Weekly that the other kids were with Pitt on the morning of Christmas and exchanged gifts. Though Pitt is one of the well-paid actors in Hollywood, he reportedly does not want to spoil them with extravagant presents. “[He] has never spoiled the kids for their birthdays or holidays. It wasn’t over the top but low-key,” the source added.

The Christmas sleepover would be the second time the children spent time with Pitt for an important occasion. It was previously reported that they also stayed for the night at the actor’s home to celebrate the birthday of Jolie’s ex earlier in December. Pitt turned 55 last Dec. 18.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s custody agreement is regarded as major progress for their divorce proceedings that surpassed the two-year mark in 2018. However, another source told PEOPLE, “It is not permanent but rather a temporary agreement in place, for now, to keep things moving along in the right direction.”
