As fans of the original “Naruto” anime and manga series will know, the cursed seal that allowed Sasuke and many others to boost their powers came from a character named Jugo. In “Boruto” Episode 98, this bipolar figure will return and he will likely not be in a good state. Will the upcoming episode feature some traits from horror films by pitting Boruto and his friends against this creature?
Looking at the preview clip below, it is quite clear to fans who the thing featured in the teaser is based solely on the face, as TheAnimeScrolls reports. Only Jugo has ever managed to look like what the clip was showing, which means that “Boruto” Episode 98 will see the character return. As tragic backstories go, his is certainly one of the most heartbreaking.
By nature, Jugo is a gentle soul who would rather not have to fight anybody. However, his cursed state means that he has to deal with a “Jekyll and Hyde” situation where he is not always in control. In “Boruto” Episode 98, Team 7 and Team 15 will be sent to investigate a case of birds going berserk and attacking indiscriminately. It is almost certain that Jugo is the cause of this.
As unfortunate as Jugo’s case might be, it is a fact that Boruto and the other genins will need to deal with him in one way or another. The fact that Jugo used to be one of the comrades of Sarada’s father Sasuke might play a role in allowing them to solve the situation peacefully. If not, “Boruto” Episode 98 might just end with the young ninjas fulfilling the promise that the surviving Uchiha previously made.
In any case, fans might just like what “Boruto” Episode 98 has to offer, especially following the most recent episodes where practically no action took place. The upcoming arc is practically guaranteed to come with plenty of that when it drops on March 17.
