It would appear that “Boruto” Chapter 35 is going to be delayed and will be coming out in two weeks’ time instead. While the matter of the plot following the appearance of Kurama before Kawaki is worth paying attention to, this delay does posit a troubling sign. Is producing one chapter a month for this manga actually too much for the folks behind it?
The release of “Boruto” Chapter 35 for the month of May was delayed and the chapter is instead coming out in June, OtakuKart reports. The reason for the delay was Golden Week, which is something that a lot of other mangas experienced. On that note, this particular development does highlight a rather serious problem. To start with, it would seem that even a month’s worth of time is still too much for those working on it.
For some context, the predecessor of “Boruto” called “Naruto” was released on a weekly basis. The demand for both is arguably on the same level, so to produce chapters for the successor on a monthly basis is already an odd arrangement. With “Boruto” Chapter 35, it is becoming clear that the situation is untenable for a lot of readers.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that working on manga is a tough, demanding job that comes with a lot of stress and fatigue. There have been cases where authors would simply drop dead one day while working on the next chapter. This is why “Boruto” Chapter 35 coming way beyond the monthly schedule might be for the best.
However, many are arguing that they are not getting much out of every release in return for their patience. Unlike other monthly releases like “Attack on Titan,” “Boruto” chapters don’t really have much meat in them in comparison. “Boruto” Chapter 35 is likely to be of the same barrenness when it comes out on June 10. This begs the question of whether the one month between releases is still too much.
