“Borderlands 3” is set to come out on September. As such, Gearbox has been marketing the looter shooter heavily in recent weeks, with this endeavor taking new heights once E3 2019 hits on June 12.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford revealed as much in this tweet, saying that there will be many surprises for fans during the event. Pitchford said that fans present in the conference would have a chance to play “Borderlands 3.”
Gearbox will also be revealing new gameplay, a new vault hunter, and a new planet during the gathering. Unsurprisingly, the new vault hunter is the most discussed right now given that an additional character will further expand the battle mechanics of “Borderlands 3.”
We already know four vault hunters in the looter shooter: Zane the Operative, FL4K the Beastmaster, Moze the Soldier, and Amara the Siren. So far, only Zane and Amara’s gameplay has been revealed. The former is designed for mobility and heavy damage, while the latter is centered on various elemental attacks. It’s still unknown what sort of flavor this upcoming “Borderlands 3” character will bring as Pitchford is being vague with the details he’s been providing.
A new planet is also another interesting revelation as it’s been established that each world in “Borderlands 3” will be unique on its own right. Gearbox has made “Borderlands 3” with the idea of having each of these planets provide a whole new experience for players, with enemies native only to that specific place.
And speaking of which, players should expect that enemies in the game will be more mobile and aggressive as has been confirmed by lead enemy designer Josh Jeffcoat. Their design has also seen a considerable upgrade as the developers didn’t want players to feel that they’re gunning down one cookie-cutter villain after another. With all the hype surrounding “Borderlands 3,” it’s no wonder that the gaming community is itching to get their hands on the title. However, it’s important to remember that the game will be exclusive in the Epic Games Store for the first six months before being available in other platforms.
