As Season 2 of “Blindspot” nears conclusion, the main protagonists’ goal to stop Sandstorm seemed near, yet so far, thanks to their personal struggles.
Episode 12 (“Devil Never Even Lived”) showed how people’s emotions tend to mess up their judgement. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) was quite insistent and defensive about her brother Roman (Luke Mitchell), despite the fact that the latter is a member of the terrorist group Sandstorm. Her aspiration for Roman to be someone on the good side can be disastrous in the long run, according to Entertainment Weekly.

However, it has been teased that the revelation will also include Shepherd’s connection with Weller. This might complicate things even further, considering Jane and Roman’s connection with Shepherd.
