‘Blindspot’ season 2’s episode 12, titled "Devil Never Even Lived," is set to feature Roman as he is freed from isolation in order to go undercover and help the team stop a deadly attack.
The brief synopsis for "Devil Never Even Lived” posted on TV Muse reads, “When an unusual tattoo leads back to Roman (Luke Mitchell), the team must decide whether to send him into the field... to go undercover with a dangerous biker gang.”
Roman is Jane’s (Jaimie Alexander) brother and is a member of the terrorist group called Sandstorm. He first appeared on season 2’s episode 1, titled “In Night So Ransomed Rogue,” and has proven himself to be a more complicated character than expected.
In the photographs posted on Spoilers Guide, it seems that the team may need Roman’s help and would need to negotiate on bringing him on the field with Jane. In the first few images, Roman is contained but is seen talking to Jane through the glass of his unit. However, in the next images, Roman is out of his cell and is presumably involved in strategizing a mission with the team.
The promo revealed that the team will be left with no choice but set Roman free in order to stop an impending attack. However, Roman’s true allegiance remains a mystery and trusting him continues to be risky business.
Mitchell admitted during a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he believes there may still be some good in his character and that Jane is his “saving grace.” He said, “He is ruthless. Absolutely. Look at the situation where he was killing those cops. Or his own people in his organization were trying to stop him from doing something and he almost killed them with his bare hands. He is ruthless and he's brutal.”
He continued, “He will do anything for his sister, absolutely anything. He went through an incredibly traumatic childhood and she is his saving grace. His sister is the human representation of the love he's lost. He lost his parents at a young age, he grew up in this orphanage and he had awful treatment. He was the weaker of the two siblings and Jane was his protector.”
‘Blindspot’ season 2’s episode 12, titled "Devil Never Even Lived," is scheduled to air on NBC on January 18, 2017. The American crime-drama television series was created by Martin Gero and executive produced by Gero, Greg Berlanti, Mark Pellington, Sarah Schechter, and Marcos Siega.
The series premiered in September 2015 and received generally positive reviews from critics and was ordered a second season last November 2015. NBC released season 2 on September 2016.
