Jimmy McGill’s story is ending in “Better Call Saul” season 6 as he transforms into his “Breaking Bad” character Saul Goodman. Since the previous two seasons, his transformation has been the highlight because the viewers have finally witnessed how he turned to his rough character in the original “BB” series that starred Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.
Now, there is one main character in “BCS” series that was not seen in “Breaking Bad” and people wonder what happened to her. Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) is an important part of Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) life too but where is she when her husband became Saul Goodman? Here are theories and predictions of her possible fate.
Kim could have died
The most popular theory is that Jimmy’s wife has died. This is the most common theory since she is missing in the entire “BB” drama and was not even mentioned. Many people think that this is the case because this is actually the easiest and most convenient way to explain her non-appearance in the “Breaking Bad” drama.
It was said that Kim will die in the finale which is “Better Call Saul” season 6. On Reddit, fans discussed the possibility of her death and more are convinced this is her fate which explains her absence in the original show.
“I just can’t see her living especially after Chuck's death. From a story perspective, why would she live?” one commenter said. “She’s the only person even close to keeping Jimmy grounded and we all know he goes full Breaking Bad. It just makes a lot of sense from many angles why this is bound to happen.”
Rather than needing to write a potentially more convoluted or complex reason for her not being in Breaking Bad, it'd be simple to just have her be killed off. This also fits with both Jimmy and Saul - the former's dealings in the criminal underworld could very much put her in the crosshairs (and already has with Lalo), while the latter's persona in Breaking Bad could be a front that comes from suffering (and causing) the loss of Kim.
Someone made her disappear
Another theory is that Kim someone may have made her disappear and its Ed Galbraith (Robert Forster). As she participates more and eventually gets deeper into her husband’s dealings in “Better Call Saul” season 6, it is likely she will come across bad people that will bring out her worst character too.
In this case, it was suggested that Ed will make sure she disappears to avoid her from testifying against him. The cartels may also go after her so it is not just Ed but more people may want her to leave.
Kim got punished and spending time in jail
Lastly, Kim Wexler could be jailed in “Better Call Saul” season 6 and this is where is the whole time when “Breaking Bad” was happening. In the finale of the fifth season, she suggested a wicked scheme to Jimmy.
Even her husband was surprised but this is just like revealing her true colors. As noted on Vulture, she proposed to frame her old boss Howard for a crime he did not do. She wants to link him to some misdeeds such as misappropriation of funds. If she is this naturally bad and has been hiding her true self all those seasons then her real self is coming out in “Better Call Saul” season 6 and she will get in trouble that will land her in jail.
