“Better Call Saul” season 5 is sure to return however it may be the “Breaking Bad” spin-off’s last run. This fact was also previously mentioned by the show’s co-creator Peter Gould, when he said that the drama is likely to end when it reaches the same number of episodes as “Breaking Bad” has.
He said that they have no intention of doing more episodes of “Better Call Saul” than the original series and since “Better Call Saul” season 5 is already reaching the target number, this may mean that the end of the drama is near, Den of Geek reported.
“My dearest hope is that we get to finish the story that we started and conclude it in a satisfying way. My dream would be that this is somewhere in the same universe of satisfaction as Breaking Bad was,” Peter Gould told Entertainment Weekly. “I was so proud to be part of the way we ended Breaking Bad, and that was actually one of the fears of doing this show — that we would tarnish that. Having said that, I think we are closer to the end than to the beginning.”
As to what can be expected in “Better Call Saul” season 5, the viewers will see more of Saul Goodman as Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) is slowly fading away. He is becoming Saul, the lawyer who twists and distorts the law for his criminal clients to walk away free. He is now someone who will bend any decree to his criminal advantage as he works for the drug lord Walter White.
Moreover, now that Jimmy is a lawyer again, he will try to get more clients by asking veterinarian Caldera (Joe DeRosa) for some assistance. The vet has great connections and knowledge of the underworld in Albuquerque thus he is the best person to contact so he can build a roster of clients.
Also, Jimmy and Kim’s relationship is in jeopardy as the former has transformed to Saul Goodman. His new ways are unacceptable for the latter so they are likely to grow apart and it was suggested that something bad may also happen to her in “Better Call Saul” season 5 as Jimmy gets deeper into the world of violence.
“Better Call Saul” season 5 has no airdate yet but it has been projected to arrive this summer.
