Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have finally finalized their divorce three years after they announced their separation. With the divorce, it means that the now ex-couple is bound to divide their assets and here are the details of it.
According to People, Ben and Jen met at the latter’s home together with their lawyers. A private judge was also said to be present in the meeting that took place on Thursday, Oct. 4.
While the pair’s divorce details are not yet available, it is believed that throughout their 10-year marriage, they have combined assets of about $190 million, with $130M being credited to Ben Affleck’s bank account.
Now, with their separation, their homes may also be included in the division of their assets. The “Batman’ actor bought a $19 million mansion in California after moving out of the home he once shared with Garner and their three kids, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6.
Commenting on the possible arrangement for their homes, L.A.-based divorce attorney Jerry Wang said that the house they bought together while married is likely to be considered as community property. “But if there is a home that was purchased by one of them while single, that may be his or her own, separate property, which would not be split up,” he said.
In any case, two days after their official divorce, Jennifer Garner was spotted attending an event. She attended the 2018 Rape Foundation Annual Brunch in Beverly Hills on Sunday, Entertainment Tonight reported.
The “Peppermint” actress graced the occasion as she supports the Rape Treatment Center and Stuart House at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. As a guest, Jennifer Garner gave a brief speech at the gathering. It was stated that the actress has been involved and backing the foundation since 2013.
