New York, Aug. 02, 2017 -- Beazley, a leading provider of specialist property insurance, has appointed Santiago Jaramillo as engineering focus group leader for the US and Latin America, based in Miami, reporting to Colin Rose, Beazley’s head of construction and engineering.
Mr Jaramillo has over 20 years’ experience in construction, engineering and heavy industry. He will be responsible for building Beazley’s portfolio in the US, with the builders’ risk teams in San Francisco and Atlanta reporting to him with effect from 1st August. Santiago will also be supported by an additional underwriter in Miami, Beazley’s hub for its Latin American business.
Colin Rose said: “Since Santiago joined us in 2016, it was clear that, with his extensive experience and knowledge of the US and Latin American markets, he would play a pivotal role in the development of our specialist construction and engineering portfolio in both the US, where we are well established, and in Latin America where we have ambitious plans to grow. This is a key position and I am delighted that we have been able to draw on Beazley’s depth of talent to lead and grow our portfolio in these important markets.”
