“Battlefield 6” is not expected to launch until the latter part of 2021, however, its official reveal might be only a few weeks away from happening. A known leaker suggested reiterates that the anticipated first trailer would premiere in May.
‘Battlefield 6’ first-ever trailer is anticipated to premiere in May
DICE, the studio making “Battlefield” games, has recognized the ongoing development of the next installment of the franchise that many have been calling “Battlefield 6.” While the developer did not provide specific dates related to the upcoming game, it is expected to be presented for the first time next month.
While addressing a recently posted “leak” on Reddit, known tipster Tom Henderson mentioned that the official reveal of “Battlefield 6” is “probably 1-2 weeks away now.” That means the first trailer is anticipated to go live around the first half of May. Henderson also said in an earlier tweet that his best guess at the moment is it could happen between May 5 to 7, although the leaker clarified he does not have information on the specific date.
‘Battlefield 6’ gameplay: Lets players choose a superpower
The staple gameplay element of the “Battlefield” franchise is having players join warring squads. DICE is expected to maintain this aspect of the game in “Battlefield 6.” Henderson added, “From what I've personally been told, you can have a Chinese soldier on the USA team and a Chinese soldier on the Russian team as you're free to chose what superpower you fight for.”
One of the most anticipated gameplay features in “Battlefield 6” is the introduction of DICE’s take on battle royale. Henderson previously reported that it is “on the way,” but it does not seem like it would be available on day one.
This would not be the first time a battle royale gameplay is introduced to the “Battlefield” fanbase. EA launched the “Battlefield Firestorm” in 2019, but the one in the pipeline is said to be “completely disconnected” from “Firestorm” and will be launched under a new name.
‘Battlefield 6’ release date
Fans will have to wait a few more months before getting a specific release date. But DICE already confirmed that “Battlefield 6” will come out in the holiday, which is usually sometime in the last quarter of the year.
