“Attack on Titan” season 4 has already been confirmed, and it is not hard to guess what is going to happen next. With Eren realizing that a bigger challenge awaits to achieve real freedom, it will not be surprising if the next season’s premiere will focus on the people and warriors of Marley.
The Survey Corps has successfully led the war against the Titans in Wall Maria, allowing the population to go back to their lands. However, it also came with the realization that it has been Marley who was turning Eldians into Titans and use them to invade more territories. With “Attack on Titan” season 4 being labeled as the “final season,” it will not be surprising if the fourth anime series installment will focus on the war against Marley.
In the season 3 finale, the Survey Corps went on their first expedition beyond the wall years after the attack on Trost District. They found a Titan with several physical deformities suggesting they are near where Marley is experimenting on Eldians and making them Titans. They have also reached a beautiful ocean where they, except Eren, had a fun time finally achieving their dreams of exploring the world beyond the Wall. Eren, on the other hand fully realizes that the main enemy is the Marley which will become the main plot point in “Attack on Titan” season 4.

It is very possible that the events of “Attack on Titan” season 4’s premiere will be based on the beginning of the manga’s 23rd volume. Fans may expect to see the warriors of Marley in their own war against the Mid-East Allied Forces. But their main goal remains to be the retrieval of the Founding Titan, which means invading Paradis Island.
“Attack on Titan” season 4 was confirmed on the same day the season 3 finale aired. Producers released a very short announcement trailer. It does not have major spoilers, but it did confirm that the fourth season will be released in 2020 and that it is going to be the last anime installment.
