Showing just how pathetic the current version of the Royal family is in the show, “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 8 sees the current King Rod Reiss dying a pitiful death. While he does turn into a titan by injecting himself with a serum, it doesn’t go the way he wanted. In fact, all there is for him is to be put down like a rabid dog. [Spoilers Below].
In a preview clip for “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 8, it’s shown that both Eren and Historia will need to be protected from a cave-in. This is due to the transformation of Rod Reiss who chose to inject himself with the titan serum in order to consume Eren. This does not work out the way the king wanted and he ended up with a titan form that could not do more than crawl on the ground.
“Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 8 will then see the Survey Corps. Deciding on how exactly to stop such a massive titan that doesn’t look like it can do much other than move on its belly. Even so, the titan actually does manage to reach the city, but without breaching the walls.
As Otaku Art notes, the form that the titan Rod Reiss becomes looks something like a stuffed turkey and is actually bigger than the Colossus Titan. This would have made it a much bigger threat if it wasn’t for the fact that it could barely do more than pull itself forward. Even so, Eren will try to replicate his feat of using the Founding Titan’s power in “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 8, but it doesn’t work out.
Viewers can see exactly how “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 8 turns out when they watch it today. The episode will be airing on Sept. 8, which should be several hours from now.
