Having launched a collaborative travel collection earlier this year, Adidas Y-3 and Real Madrid unite once more to present their Matchwear collection. The fusion of elegance and tradition marks the essence of this premium range, blending fashion with the pinnacle of sport.
In a distinctive aesthetic move, the collection revolves around a signature rose motif inspired by the early days of Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto's collaboration. Roses, chosen as the iconic graphic, pay homage to the renowned fashion designer's legacy.
According to a press release, the partnership brings forth a purple 4th kit for Real Madrid's Men's and Women's teams, designed with HEAT.RDY technology for optimal performance. The color purple, a key element in Real Madrid's DNA, unites the story and identity within the Matchwear kit.
Key Kit Features
The collection extends beyond the 4th kit, encompassing two goalkeeper kits in black and orange and a white pre-match selection, including a top, shorts, and an anthem jacket. Y-3's attention to detail shines through in each piece, reflecting the brand's savoir-faire.
From the pitch to the stands, Y-3 presents a range of fanwear items, including a T-shirt, hoodie, crossbody bag, cap, and scarf. Each item encapsulates the label's distinctive style, catering to fans seeking a blend of fashion and sportswear.
In a special collaboration with Real Madrid's Master Predator David Alaba and Jude Bellingham, Y-3 and adidas introduce a limited edition Predator boot and Goalkeeper gloves. These items add an exclusive touch to the collection, enhancing the overall appeal.
Visual Storytelling
Hypbeast noted that London-based photographer Gabriel Moses continues the campaign, featuring present-day Real Madrid icons like Naomie Feller, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Misa Rodríguez. The dynamic visuals narrate a story of an unparalleled sporting legacy reimagined for a new era.
Availability and Launch Date
The exclusive collection will be available on adidas.com, Y-3 stores, and select retailers globally. The official launch is set for April 15th, offering fans and fashion enthusiasts the first opportunity to own a piece of this groundbreaking collaboration. Prices for the collection will vary, reflecting each item's premium quality and unique design.
Early access and special promotions will be available to Adidas Club members, encouraging a swift response from interested buyers.
