7-Eleven Inc. is launching a "Fortnite" metaverse online game to engage its customers even more. The car-themed campaign is an interactive challenge where people can find branded cars in the virtual world and unlock special maps for the game to earn real-life rewards.

NFT Evening reported that this new promotion is in line with 7-Eleven's tradition of engaging active customers. This time, the convenience store chain is tapping into car enthusiasts by using the popular Epic Game's "Fortnite" inspired game in a metaverse scavenger hunt challenge.

With this event, 7-Eleven is trying to attract younger customers since gaming is popular among them. The "Fortnite" game itself is already a big crowd drawer and paired with social media outreach which the company is also planning to do. This metaverse scavenger hunt event will surely help the convenience store brand achieve its goal of gaining more young customers. Moreover, the "Fortnite" metaverse plan also aligns with the brand's goal of boosting its delivery service by targeting gamers.

In the game, the players are directed to "There Car" Island metaverse within Fortnite, a virtual space that has a customized 7-Eleven store beside a gas station. Once inside the realm players are in, they must share a snapshot of themselves at a designated location on the island.

Players may also win rewards that they can claim in real life, such as $500 in 7Now Delivery credits. A weekly fuel discount will also be given away at 7-Eleven and Speedway outlets.

"We are always keeping a pulse on our customers' passion points so we can show up for them in unexpected ways. We've embraced our customers' love for car culture by re-posting their car selfies, or 'carfies,' on Instagram, curating a collection of car-inspired merch, and even designing our own set of wheels with Model 711," CSP Daily News quoted 7-Eleven's executive vice president and chief marketing and sustainability officer, Marissa Jarratt, as saying. "We are now going full send by transporting our customers' love for cars to the virtual realm for a one-of-a-kind gaming experience."

Meanwhile, it should be noted that this 7-Eleven event is an independently created Fortnite experience and is not in any way promoted, sponsored, or operated by Epic Games, Inc.
