Apple opened this week by announcing that the iOS 13 beta and all the other upcoming software updates for its hardware products are now available to the public. However, tech fans looking to join the beta program still have to go through a few procedures to get on board.

New beta testers are going to have an easier time enrolling in the program. For the iOS 13, all they have to do is get on their iPhones and open the link https://beta.apple.com on the device they want to try the pre-release software update on. New users will be asked to sign up and download the configuration profile to complete enrollment.

Once the device is successfully registered for the iOS 13 public beta, users can then proceed to the Settings app, then, on General menu and select Software Update. The option to download and install iOS 13 will be available here.

Those who have been testing pre-release iOS updates and is currently running iOS 12.4 beta on their device will have to complete more steps, per Forbes’ report. The first step is to open the General menu on the Settings app and then select Profile. Then open the iOS Beta Software Profile choose the option “Remove Profile.” Then the users can now start the enrollment process all over again to get the iOS 13 beta by following the steps provided above.

Since the version of iOS 13 that testers are going to get is far from being the final version, they should expect several flaws from the update. It is best advised that all data from the device to be used in the public beta should be backed up. It is also very important to note that joining the program is completely free of charge.

Joining the iOS 13 public beta will let Apple fans preview new features including the system-wide Dark Mode setting, an improved CarPlay and Messages, and the revamped native apps like Maps and Photos, among others. The full version is likely coming out in September.
