It’s been a busy week for Square Enix and their upcoming title, “Final Fantasy XV.” After reviews started flooding in simply praising the first 15 hours of the game to high heaven, an interview with the game’s director resulted in overblown rumors. Fans of the JRPG in France have something to look forward to on October 27th as well since FFXV is going to Paris.
During an interview with Spanish game media Hobby Consolas, Hajime Tabata talked a bit about the game when played on the PS4 Pro. Thanks to some translation error, fans thought that the game would not get support on the more powerful console. This was since corrected and Tabata’s actual answer was cleared up where he said that the PS4 Pro will be getting updates on a later date to take advantage of its raw power, PlayStation Lifestyle reports.
“In the future, with some dedication and time maybe we can get a PS4 Pro version of the game that can take advantage of the systems capabilities,” Tabata had said.
This coincides with earlier comments by the game’s director, saying that their team didn’t create the game with the updated console in mind. However, this doesn’t mean that they won’t find a way to use the PS4 Pro’s muscle to make the graphics smoother or perhaps even give the game an FPS boost.
In related news, Square Enix is inviting fans of the series via FFXV’s official YouTube page to come join them in Paris for a special presentation during the Paris Games Week. The event will be on Thursday and will start at 15:00 CET / 6:00 AM PDT.
Reviewers already got the chance to play a little bit of the game’s story and final mechanics thanks to the 15-hour demo that they were given. As Attack Of The Fanboy hopes, perhaps gamers will be given the same opportunity during the event.
