Rui Torres de Oliveira spent almost two decades in the industry before entering academia. During this time he worked for several multinational companies in international environments, namely for seven years in China. His research interests are related to the circular economy, innovation, entrepreneurship, SMEs internationalization `and its strategic approach, business models, and business ecosystems. Rui Torres de Oliveira's work have been published in top journals as: Global Strategic Journal, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Business Research, Small Business Economics, Social Indicator Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, International Journal of Emerging Markets, The International Trade Journal, Qualitative Market Research, and several book chapters and case studies. Rui holds a Master Degree in Civil Engineering, an MBA, and a Doctorate on International Business and Strategy from Manchester Business School in the UK.
