The “Legion” expansion is almost here, but the pre-launch patch has already added a lot of interesting content in “World of Warcraft.” There’s obviously the new “Demon Hunter” class, which is reserved only for those who pre-ordered the expansion, and the invasion of demons has already begun. Along with the armies of fiery creatures, the lore has also received its own updates, with the deaths of two major characters being among the most prominent.
Players level 10 and up will be receiving the quests related to the expansion in stages, Eurogamer reports. However, even before “Legion” is officially added, “Varian Wrynn” and “Vol'jin” have already been taken out of the equation.
Both main characters united their respective factions in order to form a resistance against the onslaught of the “Burning Legion,” which appears to be making quick work of anyone getting in their way. Once players go through the quest line, they will need to watch a cinematic portion where both the leader of the humans and the leader of the Horde die. Based on videos uploaded on YouTube, it seems “Vol'jin” got the worse death on account of it being slower.
This is just the start, though. The invasion of “Azeroth” will be broken into a three-week event, with six zones and four stages exhibiting the might of the “Burning legion,” according to PC Gamer. Players will get to fight over 100 new bosses throughout the campaign, which should provide plenty of fun for gamers.
The segment starts when players join the fray at the Broken Shore, where things get very hairy for the heroes of both the “Alliance” and the “Horde.” Depending on which faction the players joined, they will see different cinematics accordingly.
VG247 also notes the feedback from players regarding the overflowing number of loot that comes with the pre-expansion invasion. So for all the hoarders of in-game items out there, now might be the time to jump back in the world of Azeroth.
