William Blair announced today the appointment of Jason R. Stefanelli to the position of director, Canada. Mr. Stefanelli, with more than 18 years of experience in the investment management industry, will be responsible for bringing William Blair’s specialized client service resources and tailored global investment strategies to institutional investors across Canada.

“Spearheading our efforts in Canada, Jason will have responsibility for William Blair’s business development, market research, and consultant relations there. He will lead the education and implementation of William Blair’s unique and differentiated equity, fixed income, and alternative approaches, and resulting portfolio characteristics to institutional investors across the country. We are excited to expand our efforts in Canada and continue to deepen our client and consultant relationships,” said Dan Charles, global head of business development and client service at William Blair.
Mr. Stefanelli’s experience in the investment management and advisory industry includes working directly with institutional investors in Canada, the United States, and around the world, by building strong relationships with clients and prospects. Prior to joining William Blair, he was director, Pensions & Global Business Development at Cambridge Associates, LLC, in Boston. Jason was also a partner at a premier hedge fund firm covering Canadian and U.S. markets. Prior to that, Jason was a vice president, Business Development at Wellington Management Company, LLP in Boston, where he was responsible for growing its Canadian institutional business.
