NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2018 -- Webair, a high-touch, agile Cloud and fully managed infrastructure service provider, announces a suite of new services to address the business continuity and IT resilience requirements of today’s enterprises. In order to better serve customers, Webair has introduced several enhancements and additional tiers of service to its Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) solutions, including Disaster Recovery-Lite (DR-Lite) and Ransomware Recovery-as-a-Service (RRaaS), as well as Hybrid IT Orchestration and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) capabilities.

As a growing number of enterprises migrate toward hybrid IT configurations, management of their IT environments can become increasingly complex and labor-intensive, draining critical time and resources. Webair recognizes that no two enterprise environments are the same, and its solutions are flexible and customizable to accommodate different applications and platforms. In response to these evolving enterprise demands, Webair has expanded its traditional BC and DR services to feature:
• DR-Lite
- Mid-tier product designed as a Backups-as-a-Service (BaaS) add-on for companies in need of a cost-effective and comprehensive DR solution. DR-Lite enables users to adopt a tiered approach to DR, protecting most critical application with DRaaS, and the rest with BaaS + DR-Lite.
• RRaaS
- Vendor-agnostic integration with multiple third-party Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software, providing full protection of the recovery environment and allowing the replica environment to be used for continuous cybersecurity scanning, reducing exposure of their production environments to breaches and attacks.
• SDN and Security Integration
- Integration with Software-Defined Perimeter (SDN) and other Zero-Trust-based security tools such as Cyxtera's AppGate, providing automated network failover and failback orchestration, which are agnostic to physical networks and provide resilience assurance, surpassing traditional failover methods.
“The definition of enterprise production environments is becoming increasingly blurred as customers migrate toward a hybrid cloud infrastructure model,” explains Sagi Brody, Chief Technology Officer, Webair. “Disaster recovery solutions must be designed to match even the most complex IT environments to ensure the highest level of resilience. Our enhanced orchestration capabilities and integration with software-defined automation allow us to proactively ensure that these solutions will perform when and if they are needed.”
Webair was recently recognized in Gartner’s December 2017 “Market Guide for IT Resilience Orchestration (ITRO) Automation” report for its advanced service delivery methodologies. Webair utilizes a combination of internally-authored orchestration platforms, integration with best-of-breed vendors, and service management methodologies to provide each customer with a comprehensive and customized ITRO solution.
