MALVERN, Pa., Feb. 05, 2016 -- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) today announced its technology lineup for ELECRAMA-2016, taking place Feb. 13-17 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center in India. In hall 3B, booth H3M5, the company will be highlighting industry-leading passive component, power MOSFET, diode, rectifier, power module, and optoelectronics solutions for furnace, high-voltage, solar energy, smart grid, wind turbine, and train/traction applications.
Vishay passive components on display at ELECRAMA-2016 will comprise a wide variety of the company’s latest capacitors, resistors, and custom magnetics. Highlighted capacitors will include Vishay ESTA 1-phase and 3-phase LVAC and HVAC power capacitors optimized for wind turbine, solar energy, high-voltage, and furnace applications, and film power electronic capacitors with self-healing and long lifetime capabilities over 100,000 hours for traction drives. In addition, Vishay will showcase single-layer ceramic devices designed for extremely high power levels up to 4,000 kvar; high-reliability, high-temperature wet tantalum capacitors for bulk energy storage filtering up to 125 V; long-life aluminum electrolytic devices; and compact surface-mount solid tantalum capacitors with low ESR.
Highlighted Vishay resistors will include high-power thick film chip devices for pulse power applications; custom high-power resistors and assemblies with ratings up to 20 kW; MELF devices with excellent reliability and surge stability; Power Metal Strip® battery shunt resistors for automotive and heavy industrial applications; high-performance surface-mount thin film devices with long life and high precision; power wirewound devices with ratings up to 2500 W; steel grid resistors for high-energy pulse load dumping; and NTC thermistors for applications with temperatures up to 900 °C. Custom magnetics on display will comprise high-reliability transformers, inductors, and military-grade power supplies.
At ELECRAMA-2016, Vishay Siliconix will highlight 500 V to 650 V E Series high-voltage MOSFETs with on-resistance down to 32 mΩ for extremely low conduction and switching losses in AC/DC power conversion for solar inverters. In addition, AEC-Q101-qualified SQ Rugged Series MOSFETs with a maximum junction temperature of +175 °C will be on display, as well as 40 V to 200 V TrenchFET® Gen IV and ThunderFET® devices with low on-resistance and gate charge in thermally advanced PowerPAK® packages.
Vishay General Semiconductor will showcase surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifiers and surface-mount TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers with low forward voltage drop in low-profile SMF (DO-219AB) and SlimDPAK packages, and glass passivated devices with high forward surge capability to 240 A in the low-profile SMC (DO-214AB). For the protection of sensitive electronics against voltage transients, diodes on display will include TransZorb® transient voltage suppressors (TVS) with ± 3.5 % breakdown voltage tolerance in the low-profile SMBJ (DO-214AA) package and bidirectional devices with 3,000 W peak pulse capability in the SMC (DO-214AB), in addition to surface-mount PAR® TVS with high surge capability up to 5 kW in the SMC (DO-214AB).
Vishay Semiconductors will highlight optocouplers for solar and wind inverters, electric vehicles (EV), industrial inverters, and high-voltage motors. On display will be 2.5 A widebody and low-profile IGBT and MOSFET drivers and 10 MBd high-speed optocouplers with external creepage > 10 mm, as well as optocouplers with thickness through insulation ≥ 3 mm and a wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to +110 °C. For 3-level neutral point clamp (NPC11 and 2) topologies and interleaved multiple-channel MPPT (maximum power point tracking) boost converters, Vishay Semiconductors will also highlight IGBT power modules in EMIPAK-1B and EMIPAK-2B packages featuring solderless pressfit technology.
