It’s safe to say, at this point, that “Vikings” Season 5 Episode 14 is going to be one eventful segment. Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen) is claiming that the sacrifice he is burning is Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). The mad king is also holding on to his claim that he is a god despite what the Seer (John Kavanagh) is telling him. Ivar has always been crazy, but has he legitimately lost his mind?
If there was one thing that gave Ivar an edge over his enemies, it is that he is as calculating and brilliant as they come. He plans his moves by taking the decisions of his opponents into consideration and then develops a counter to those moves. This is why he is now the ruler of Kattegat and why Lagertha has been driven away. Unfortunately, her mere existence is a clear source of frustration for him as “Vikings” Season 5 Episode 14 will show.
Looking at the promo clip below, it is evident that Ivar is still bothered by the fact that there is another person out there who has a legitimate claim to his kingdom. This is why “Vikings” Season 5 Episode 14 will see him celebrating his godhood by supposedly sacrificing Lagertha. The person being burned is not her, of course, but it would seem that Ivar’s delusions have reached a crescendo.
It isn’t just in Kattegat that events are taking a turn for the worse, either. Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) is dealing with his own issues with Eyvind (Kris Holden-Ried) looking like he might just kill the charismatic Viking. Will “Vikings” Season 5 Episode 14 finally see the end of the show’s messenger for the gods? Viewers will see this for themselves when the installment hits the small screen on Dec. 19. Fans will not want to miss this one.
