US under Trump Series: Mark your calendars for June 8th but not just for UK election

The United Kingdom will hold its snap General Election announced by Prime Minister Theresa May back in April on June 8th. That event alone is enough to mark your calendars for that day, especially when the recent polls are indicating that the ruling conservatives are going to have a tough race on their hands as the gap with the opposition Labor Party dwindles in latest polls. However, that date got an additional importance as it was announced that the former FBI director James Comey would testify before Congress on the Russian interference in the US election and the possible Trump-Russia collusion allegations that have dogged President Trump’s Presidency since day one.

Last month, President Trump abruptly fired the FBI Director James Comey that led to outrages from the Democratic Party and the media. While the media tried to allege many assertions like ‘Comey was fired after he asked more funds for Russia investigation’, ‘Comey was fired as he was closing in on Trump’, all have been proven to be wrong so far and despite their utmost attempt, the mainstream media failed to find out the crime that they continue to prosecute Trump for. Nevertheless, all eyes will be on FBI director James Comey as he is expected to get asked whether President Trump asked to go soft on the former national security advisor Michael Flynn.
