US home-builder sentiment expected to climb to a decade high

Rosier appraisals of US' current and future new home sales, combined with an anticipated pickup in prospective-buyer traffic, probably pushed the Housing Market Index one point higher to 63 this month, the highest reading since October 2005. 

"While a historically wide gap will continue to persist, the projection would be consistent with single-family building permits climbing to an eight-year high seasonally adjusted annual rate of 710,000 in the Census Bureau's October report", says Societe Generale.
