U.K.Manufacturing output to rise strongly

U.K.Manufacturing output data for September is scheduled to release in this week. At this stage, analysts have the first estimate of Q3 GDP of U.K. and the July and August monthly manufacturing and industrial production data. 

The ONS GDP release includes its guesstimate for September IP and a qoq estimate for Q3 manufacturing which allows experts to calculate the September guesstimate for this component as well. These figures are -0.1% and 0.9% respectively. These can be, and usually are, modified as more data becomes available but the immediate changes tend to be quite modest. 

"The manufacturing surveys are weaker than the published data which leads us to forecast slightly lower numbers than those discussed above. The Ugrowth of -0.2% and 0.8% mom respectively in industrial production and manufacturing output", said Societe Generale in a research note to its client.
