TNX-102 SL, a Phase 3 Drug Candidate, Recently Granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by the US FDA
Pivotal Study in Military-Related PTSD to Begin This Quarter
NEW YORK, Feb. 28, 2017 -- Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (Nasdaq:TNXP) (Tonix), a company that is developing innovative pharmaceutical products to address public health challenges, announced today that it will present at the Cowen and Company 37th Annual Health Care Conference being held March 6-8, 2017 in Boston.
Seth Lederman, M.D., president and chief executive officer of Tonix, will provide a corporate update and an overview of the Tonix posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) clinical program. TNX-102 SL* was recently granted Breakthrough Therapy designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of PTSD. Tonix will commence in this quarter a 12-week Phase 3 clinical study, the “HONOR” study, evaluating TNX-102 SL, 5.6 mg, in military-related PTSD. The interim analysis of the HONOR study is expected in the first half of 2018 and topline results are expected in the second half of 2018.
In his podium presentation, Dr. Lederman will also provide details of the company’s recently expanded therapeutic pipeline in PTSD and its new development program for a potential smallpox-preventing vaccine.
