‘This Is Us’ Season 2 Cast Share Potentially Fake Spoilers; Mandy Moore Excited to Learn More About Rebecca-Miguel Relationship

‘This Is Us’ season 2 cast members shared their own potentially fake spoilers during the NBC Red Nose Day special. Meanwhile, Mandy Moore expressed her excitement on learning more about Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship as the series progresses.

According to E! News, cast members revealed some unusual spoilers for the highly anticipated season two of the popular NBC drama that follows the fictional Pearson family’s story through the decades. During an appearance at NBC’s Red Nose Day special hosted by Chris Hardwick, the cast spilled strange spoilers seemingly in attempts to quell calls for spoilers.

The actors opened the segment by expressing their excitement for the “mind-blowing” scripts without revealing more details, according to Entertainment Weekly. However, they went on to joke about what fans would come to expect for the second season.

Actor Justin Hartley teased, "Like in episode two, I like it when we find out that Rebecca's got a long-lost brother.” Hartley plays adult Kevin Pearson, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) son and brother to Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown).

Meanwhile, co-star Chrissy Metz said that her character Kate will return to the dating scene and date Dennis Rodman but eventually retracted her statement to say that Kate would actually date Dennis Quaid.

Brown also chimed in saying, “Please donate to Red Nose Day. A lot of kids out there aren’t as lucky as my character Randall, who finds out that his biological father is not only still alive, but is actually his older brother.”

Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the Pearson patriarch Jack, revealed that Jack will donate a kidney while Susan Kelechi-Watson, who plays Randall’s wife Beth, also teased that Randall and Beth may get divorced.

Meanwhile, Mandy Moore spoke with People during the 38th College Television Awards at the Wolf Theater in North Hollywood and admitted that she was intrigued about Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship. Moore said, “Because I know a lot of what happens, I’m excited to see, which I don’t think will happen in season 2, I want to see the evolution of Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship, like how that happened.”

She continued, “I’ve heard that that potentially will be later in season 2, maybe beginning of season 3… And I want to know what happened with Rebecca and Kate’s relationship, why it’s fractured, and why there’s that disconnect.”

‘This Is Us’ season 2 was renewed on NBC last January 2017 together with a third season.
