‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7, Episode 6 Spoilers: “Swear" – Tara Discovers New Oceanside Community; New Female Characters Introduced

‘The Walking Dead’ season 7’s episode 6, entitled “Swear", will feature the return of Tara as she stumbles on a community called “Oceanside.” Meanwhile, new female characters from the community will be introduced into the series including Cyndie and Rachel.

The brief synopsis for episode 6 posted on TV Line reads, “A familiar face stumbles upon a brand new society. Their rules, location and setup are unlike anything that has been seen before.”

It seems that the incoming episode will focus on a character that hasn’t appeared on the show since season 6. Tara (Alanna Masterson) will make her return to the series following her mission to scout for supplies for the survivors of Alexandria.

The promo for “Swear” posted on Moviefone opened with two women by a shore. A little girl shows off her zombie-killing skills to her older companion. She takes a stick and bashes in an undead’s skull and triumphantly says, “One hit. Didn’t have to twice. Not bad huh?”

The little girl then spots another body in the distance, presuming it is another zombie. She runs to the body lying on the sand and before she could ram the stick into it, her companion stops her.

The older lady investigates the body and finds out that it belongs to a woman, who seems to be unconscious but still alive. The woman turns out to be Tara.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans’ Facebook post, the two ladies on the beach are Sydney Park’s Cyndie and Mimi Kirkland’s Rachel. They are two of the members of a community called “Oceanside.” The community is made up of a group of survivors living in the East coast of the United States near the state of Virginia.

Cyndie is described to be a woman who is “kind but with a world-weary toughness” and is also skilled with weapons but doesn’t like using them unless she has to. Rachel is a little girl who knows how to kill walkers. The new episode will also introduce Oceanside’s tough leader Natania (Deborah May) as well as Beatrice (Briana Venksus) and Kathy (Nicole Barre), who aren’t very friendly with Tara.

In another sneak peak video, Tara is seen in a camper talking to Heath (Corey Hawkins) as they plan out their next move. The two were last seen leaving the survivors for a two-week supply run.

Heath is adamant about returning to Alexandria saying that they strayed too far and there’s nothing left for them to scavenge. He reminds her that they are also running low on gasoline.

Tara, however, doesn’t want to go back empty-handed. She tells him that they need ammunition and medicine on top of food supplied by Hilltop. She said, “We can’t go back like this. There’s people counting on us… Why you acting like you don’t know that?”  

In reply, Heath expresses his displeasure about the events at The Saviors’ satellite camp of The Saviors saying that killing people affected him in a huge way. He also calls out Rick’s group saying he got by without them in the past.

‘The Walking Dead’ season 7’s episode 6, entitled “Swear", is scheduled to air on AMC on November 27, 2016. It will be followed by episode 7, entitled "Sing Me a Song", scheduled for December 4.
