‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 12 episode 10 will offer another hilarious chapter when it presents the “Young Sheldon” crossover. The tenth episode is called “The VCR Illumination” because an old video will inspire the adult Sheldon to pick up the pieces and move forward.
As per press release, the official story summary of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 12 episode 10 reads: “Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are still down about their theory being disproven, but a VHS tape from Sheldon's past inspires him not to give up.”
Additionally, “Bernadette turns into a pageant mom when she tries to help Wolowitz ace his Magic Castle audition.”
In this episode, the adult Sheldon will see his younger version again through a VHS tape. It can be recalled that his and Amy’s theory was negated so he was feeling down the whole time. He also lost confidence but a video emerged and the “Young Sheldon” seems to be talking to him so he would get out of his depression and work again.

The appearance of the video was really timely because the small pep talk given by the 10-year-old Sheldon (Iain Armitage) to his adult self really helped him cope with disappointment and he was inspired once again.
As can be seen in ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 12 episode 10’s promo video, Amy played the VHS tape and the young and old Sheldon greeted each other. It was a funny scene as the younger version even asked for a password to make sure that it is his older self who is watching.
"If you're watching this, I assume something bad has happened, something unfortunate and unforeseen," the 10-year-old Sheldon said through the VHS tape. “Something that's making you question everything.”
Since he is right, the present-day adult Sheldon could not help but reply, "I'm so smart."
‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 12 episode 10 will air on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. This will be the episode before the show takes a short break for the holidays. It will return in January 2019. Lastly, there are only 14 episodes left before the show ends as it is already on its final season.
