'The 100' Season 3 Episode 8 Recap: Pike makes a big decision

As much as we wanted to know what will happen now that Lexa is dead, this week's episode was Lexa-free and instead focused around the war at home. This is equally exciting though as we got to see the characters make hard decisions and solve problems. So here is a recap of this week's episode of the hit TV series 'The 100' entiled "Terms and Conditions".

With the brewing war, the Grounders are sending message to the members of Team Pike,  explaining them their commander’s order for the blockade and then ask for one thing: Give us Pike, or else.

They’ve already taken out a few of Pike’s soldiers as proof that they’re serious. Bellamy, on the other hand, just shrugs it off, telling them they won't back down and shoots them down.

Pike feels like they are being spyed on and that the spies are from the inside. They know Kane is getting info somehow, so they put Monty in charge of spying on their own people. Monty doesn’t think that’s necessary, but as Pike says, “The walls have ears.”

It turned out to be right as Miller, Harper, and Kane are the ears. Pike says they need to change their meeting patterns, so they’re not caught. And then Harper says, “Or we could just shock-lash Pike’s fascist ass and hand him to the Grounders.” That could be a good idea Harper.

Kane, on the other hand, thinks otherwise as he reasoned out to Pike that there isn't enough ammo to take down the Grounders and that the best thing he can do is turn himself in. Pike says he refuses to be Finn 2.0, that the way out is to keep the Grounders under his foot so they stop trying to resist.

This forced Kane to do what Harper suggested. When Pike forces Kane to admit treason, he got distracted and Kane shock lashed him. Kane puts the now-knocked-out Pike into the back of the rover and heads for the gates to execute part two of Harper’s plan. But they were stopped by Bellamy as he was informed by Monty about Kane's plan.

Pike wasted no time to sentence Kane to death. Bellamy even questioned his decision and he starts to cry and says, “Sir, are we really killing our own people now?” Pike says this is war and Kane needs to be an example.
