“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Season 2 is going to be highlighting several transformations for both main and side characters of the series. First up, Rimuru will be undergoing a massive evolutionary process as he’s expected to become a True Demon Lord at some point during the story.

However, this transformation will be born out of desperation than anything else. You see, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Season 2 will have the Farmus Kingdom attacking Tempest country resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians including Shion, Monster&Critics reported.

Although Rimuru has gotten so much stronger since his rebirth, he has yet to learn how to bring back people who already died. As such, the Great Sage will advise Rimuru to turn into a True Demon Lord to acquire the capabilities of resurrecting those who have fallen during the attack. To achieve such power, the Sage instructs Rimuru to collect 10,000 souls, which he does by annihilating the troops of the invading forces. Having paid the price, Rimuru will then turn into a True Demon Lord in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Season 2.

This brings us to the second transformation. Those who will be revived in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Season 2 will be joining the Tempest faction called Yomigaeri. This immortal group will be quite the addition to Tempest country as they’ll acquire several key abilities, including a regenerative skill equal to what’s been seen with the Orc Disaster.

The third evolution will be geared towards the Great Sage herself. Throughout the plot of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Season 2, she’ll eventually transform into a higher version of herself. This resulted in Rimuru acquiring the ability to revive the Storm Dragon Veldora. The powerful being will then inhabit Rimuru’s human clones, adding another valuable asset to the emerging Tempest nation. Regarding the release date of the second installment, it’s been announced that it will come back in 2020 although no exact date has been given as of this writing.
