Huntington Station, NY, April 27, 2017 -- Teq (http://www.teq.com) has paired with Fortune 500 company CDW-G and the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) to create EdTech in Focus, a free event where New Jersey educators will learn strategies for pairing SMART Boards and Chromebooks to enable student success.
The event, which will be held on May 5th at the NCAA Media Center in Piscataway, NJ, is expected to host over 80 teachers and administrators from New Jersey schools. Attendees will participate in four unique professional development (PD) sessions exploring how to leverage Chromebooks in the classroom by combining them with SMART software including amp, Notebook, and SMART iQ Technology, as well as educate attendees about Teq's Online and Onsite PD options, and Google's G-Suite.
Sessions will be hosted by Teq's team of PD Specialists, all of which are state-certified educators. Also on hand will be former Superintendent and Teq Chief Learning Officer, Robert-Wayne Harris. "With the improvements being added to the SMART Board and SMART Notebook software each year, as well as cloud-based technology like Chromebooks rolling out, it is important for teachers to stay up-to-date with PD," said Harris. "There are new features that make working with student devices even more engaging. That's one of the things we want to highlight at this event."
"Providing teachers with the technology and professional development to meet the expectations of students is essential to achieving positive outcomes in the classroom. EdTech in Focus is a way for us to spread that message and provide the support that is needed," said Brian Beedenbender, Teq VP of Sales. "We are excited to show how CDW’s product portfolio can combine with SMART's line of interactive displays, as well as Teq's professional development, to empower both teachers and students.”
Space at the Ed Tech in Focus event is limited. To see how SMART and Chromebooks work together to create new levels of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork, register for Ed Tech in Focus at http://www.teq.com/eventsignup/.
