EasyCare announced its support for Tents for Troops at the 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo at Bally’s Las Vegas with a welcome reception in its booth. Since meeting at RVDA in 2016, the vehicle service contract provider has supported the nonprofit by providing them marketing exposure, partnering with them at tradeshows and donating a portion of EasyCare’s quarterly sales towards this Tents for Troops program.

“We love supporting the Tents for Troops cause. They are an organization that has given the gift of outdoor adventure to countless active service members and their families, and that makes a real, positive impact on everyone they touch,” said Walt Burns, Regional Performance Manager at EasyCare. “We will do whatever we can to help spread the word about their mission.”
The nonprofit’s founder, Charlie Curry, began offering free lodging to active-duty soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen at his own park, Toutle River RV Resort in Castle Rock, Washington, nine years ago. Tents for Troops has since grown to include nearly 300 parks in 47 states and earned social media tributes from celebrities such as Bret Michaels, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.
To take advantage of the free program, active service members and their families just need to reserve sites at the Tents for Troops website and present their military IDs at check-in.
“They are great guests. In fact, they build extraordinarily positive word-of-mouth for the park and the program as they share their Tents for Troops experience with other campers,” Curry said. “The goodwill benefits associated with this gesture far outweigh any lost revenue.”
