NEW YORK, Feb. 15, 2018 -- Mondo (mondo.com) today reported the results of its annual Tech Salary Guide with eight tech jobs garnering salaries of $200,000 or more for 2018. The eight highest-paid positions include: CTO/CIO, Chief Security Officer, DevOps Lead/Engineer, Demandware Developer, Data Architect, Data Scientist, Database Architect and Project Manager.
The 2018 Mondo Tech Salary Guide also revealed that salaries for the DevOps Lead Engineer position jumped to a high of $250,000, making it the third highest-paid position among technology professionals. Data shows Full-Stack Developer salaries range from $90,000 to $162,500 and this position remains one of the hardest to fill. With Salesforce skills in high demand, the Salesforce Solution Architect is also one of highest-paid technology professionals, with salaries ranging from $145,000 - $195,000. Among database professionals, Mongo DB skills are the most in-demand skill set, with salaries ranging from $125,000 - $175,000 for a Mongo DBA.
According to the 2018 Mondo Tech Salary Guide, the highest-paid tech jobs for 2018 with salaries of $200,000 or more include:
- CTO/CIO ($160,000 - $292,500)
- Chief Information Security Officer ($162,000 - $275,000)
- DevOps Lead/Engineer ($115,000 - $250,000)
- Demandware Developer ($127,500 - $237,500)
- Data Architect ($130,000 - $210,000)
- Data Scientist ($130,000 - $210,000)
- Database Architect ($145,000 - $200,000)
- Project Manager ($77,500 - $200,000)
“Salaries for technology professionals continue to increase with more than eight different positions now earning more than $200,000 a year. This year, in particular, we have seen a spike in salaries for DevOps Engineers and eCommerce Developers,” said Gianna Scorsone, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Operations for Mondo. “Tech professionals with Virtual Reality (VR), IoT, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) expertise can expect to see salary jumps for corresponding titles as demand rises for these skills in 2018.”

- Machine Learning Engineer ($125,000 - $175,000)
- AI Developer ($100,000 - $150,000)
Top AR, VR & IOT Salaries include:
- IoT Solution Architect ($125,000 - $185,000)
- AR Engineer ($100,000 - $185,000)
- VR Engineer ($90,000 - $185,000)
- Mixed Reality Developer ($100,000 - $175,000)
The DevOps/Cloud positions with the highest salaries include:
- DevOps Lead/Engineer ($115,000 - $250,000)
- Cloud Engineer ($120,000 - $195,000)
- Azure Developer ($130,000 - $185,000)
eCommerce Developer roles are also in high demand and landing top salaries, including the following titles:
- Demandware Developer ($127,500 - $237,500)
- Magento Developer ($100,000 - $170,000)
- eCommerce Technical Analyst ($80,000 - $135,000)
The Database positions with the highest salaries include:
- Database Architect ($145,000 - $200,000)
- Mongo DBA ($125,000 - $175,000)
- NoSQL DBA ($120,000 - $175,000)
- Open Source DBA ($120,000 - $175,000)
