Taiwanese export industry, which mainly includes electronics parts and components, is expected to have continued rebounding in July. In the previous month, export orders and industrial production were resilient in this sector, indicating towards certain strength in July’s exports.
However, with a small adverse base effect, headline growth in year-on-year terms is expected to have recorded just a marginal improvement, stated Societe Generale in a research report.
In the meantime, imports are likely to have improved in July following June’s severe drop, part of which may have been a correction of May’s robust data, added Societe Generale. Imports are expected to continue recovering in future, along with stronger external demand.
