Suri Cruise: Dad Tom Cruise allegedly quitting Scientology to be with daughter again

Suri Cruise has lost touch with his dad Tom Cruise since her parents divorced in 2012. At that time, it was widely reported that one of the major reasons why the “Dawson’s Creek” actress left her husband was his religious belief.

The “Mission Impossible” actor is known to be a staunch supporter of the Church of Scientology and he is one of the most influential members of the said religion too. But although he is very close to his church, this is allegedly the same reason why he is not able to see Suri for years.

Is the actor abandoning Scientology to be with his daughter again?

Star magazine previously reported that the actor made the decision to leave his Scientology church for his youngest daughter Suri Cruise. Based on what was written in the article, Tom is all set to cut his ties with the religion.

It was added that his foremost reason for quitting the church is to repair his relationship with Suri which has been left a bit damaged since they have not seen each other for a long time. He was basically completely out of her life for six whole years so he wants to mend this.

"If he wants her back, he'll have to walk away from the church, which has been a huge part of his life, to say the least,” the insider told Star. “Leaving Scientology would be the toughest decision he'll ever have to make.”

Then again, Tom Cruise had an interview and it was confirmed that this news is false. Firstly, while he could really be missing his daughter, it is not enough to make him leave Scientology.

Secondly, his commitment to his church never wavered even with the controversial rumors surrounding it. In fact, in an interview, he told The Daily Beast that Scientology is a beautiful religion that he’s proud of.

“It's something that has helped me incredibly in my life,” Suri’s dad stated, “It’s something, you know, without it, I wouldn’t be where I am and I’m incredibly proud.”

Alleged decision to leave the church for the second time

Ithe rumors that Tom is quitting Scientology for Suri Cruise did not go away. In 2019, the same story surfaced again but this time, it was reported by In Touch. The paper alleged after seeing his daughter’s picture, the actor is really giving up his church this time to be with his daughter.

"Tom has sacrificed the most important things in his life for Scientology,” the so-called source told the magazine. “If he ever were to escape Scientology, it would be because of his daughter.”

However, Gossip Cop debunked this rumor after a reliable source informed them that the story was made-up.
