'Steven Universe' Season 6 Air Date and Spoiler Updates: Massive Announcement for SDCC Anticipated

Image via Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network has already teased fans about “Steven Universe” season 6 with a preview trailer of the season 5 conclusion. Speculations about a 25th episode for season 5 are no longer “up-in-the-air” as “Steven Universe” season 6 is set to tie all the loose ends that the last season left for fans.

In the preview, we get to see a less antagonistic interaction between The Crystal Gems and Blue and Yellow Diamond. There isn't any visual confirmation about any of the characters that got “poofed” last season, such as Lapis Lazuli, but the direction that the previews are going in seems to emphasize that Season 6 will be less about the conflict that created sides amongst the Crystal Gems and more about the potential reconciliation that Steven will bring as Rose Quartz's son.

In anticipation of the season 6 preview, the Cartoon Network official Twitter account posted photos of their Steven Universe booth at the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC).

In addition, anticipation for White Diamond's reveal will be picking up, with Cartoon network teasing the yet-to-be-seen character in their 3-D photo booth.

The Verge confirmed the SDCC Schedule on its website with a comprehensive breakdown of much-awaited series panels across different media. Cartoon Network will be doing a panel discussion on "Steven Universe" on Saturday morning, July 21.

The panel will be attended by the show's creator, Rebecca Sugar, and the voice actors of the main cast of “Steven Universe,” Estelle, Michaela Dietz, Deedee Magno Hall, and Zach Callison. The creator and cast will be discussing details and answering questions regarding the much-awaited “Steven Universe” season 6. This will be the moment where fans can get solid confirmation on when the air date for “Steven Universe” season 6 will be.
