SpectroCoin To Give Away Free Virtual Bitcoin Debit Card In March

SpectroCoin, a bitcoin exchange and wallet based in the UK, has announced that it will give away free virtual bitcoin debit card at the beginning of March.

Last month, the company rolled out multi-currency wallets for its clients, giving them the option to choose from a number of currencies such as EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, CZK, and others, their base currency in SpectroCoin.com wallet. Moreover, it also released virtual and physical debit cards denominated in USD and GBP in addition to the existing EUR denominated cards.

Customers will benefit from the low cost of these cards – the virtual card costs only $0.5 and physical debit card costs only $9 – the lowest offering in the market. The deposit to the card is instantaneous and at the favorable exchange rate, the company said.

Moreover, a multicurrency option is available for merchant clients, meaning that payments received in bitcoin by SpectroCoin clients can be settled in EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, CZK, PLN, NOK and a number of other currencies.

As a promotional offer for the new card offering, the company is sponsoring an online questionnaire, which will be used as a part of an academic study to evaluate the impact of news on Bitcoin price. The questionnaire is used to build a Bitcoin sentiment dictionary to better understand how people involved in the Bitcoin community perceive news.

The questionnaire is a part of research conducted by LIRIS (Leuven Institute for Research on Information Systems) at KU Leuven University (Belgium). This research is expected to be completed by the summer of 2016.

“Most importantly due to sponsorship by SpectroCoin.com every respondent who provides email will receive a free virtual bitcoin debit card from SpectroCoin.com. Cards will be distributed at the beginning of March”, the company said.
